A bone-dry, citrusy and spicy ale inspired by Walloon farmhouse brewers that’s packed with flavour and refreshment. Slightly tart citrus fruit at the start, moving to a firm bitterness, and quite a dry finish. Certain spices such as juniper linger in the aftertaste. Grunt is an excellent accompaniment to most food, in particular fish, to replace a traditional dry white wine, but also spicy food, where the strong flavours and refreshing quality of the beer can hold its own where a wine could not. It is also good with both strong cheese, and creamy cheese.
